The Claude Agent SDK packages Claude Code's agent loop for Python and TypeScript. It provides built-in tools for files, commands, and web search, plus MCP servers, subagents, hooks, permissions, sessions, and skills, so you can build your own agents on top of it. Agents authenticate with a Claude API key.
